Caitlin Thayer for Newfields Library Trustee

I know our community is willing to invest in our town staff - I’ve seen it happen to other departments. I’ve seen concerted efforts made to ensure we’re rightsizing departments and salaries to help keep staff here rather than losing them to other communities.

Now it’s time to do this for our library. The Paul Memorial Library doesn't have a single full-time staff member and still manages to do so much for Newfields. With full-time staff, our community will see increased support, services, and programs. ​

If I’m elected, I’ll bring my skills and experience in operations, project management, strategic planning, and communications to the role. 

 

• I will work to increase community engagement with the library and the Trustees by making sure Trustee meetings are properly listed on the town’s website, and meeting minutes are published within 5 days, per NH’s Right to Know Law
   

• I will work with Sue and Brittany to keep the community informed on what’s happening at the Library from the Trustee level, and letting the community know how they can support the library’s continued success and growth
   

• I will be a vocal and tireless advocate for increasing the library’s annual budget to support staff and program growth
